Ubuntu on Eee PC 901 extra protection
This is my instalation of Ubuntu 8.04 in my Eee PC 901.
Its in portuguese =P
I did put some extra protection. If someone steals my Eee PC he'll need to break 3 passwords to get the system to work.
And you can not format it because you need the BIOS admin password wich is different from the BIOS user password. So, its very hard to use the system if you dont know te password. Of course I will not tell them to anyone.
This is the powa of Open Source.

Clases a distancia que se dictan en tiempo real, es decir, en el mismo momento que es usuario está conectado con el aula, se está dictando la clase aquà en Centraltech.
Esto es posible mediante un sistema, que permite compartir el escritorio con el profesor, ver la imagen del aula, charlar por micrófono, con el profesor y los alumnos y comunicarse por chat, en caso de no disponer de sistema de audio.
Este sistema, asegura que los movimientos del alumno dentro del escritorio virtual, sean tenidos en cuenta por el profesor y éste, pueda corregir al alumno, en caso de que sea necesario, lo que asegura que el alumno no aprenda con errores.
El material utilizado es en PDFs hechos directamente de los libros oficiales de la carrera.

im trying to put kubuntu on the atv, i think i might be close. this was my second attempt. the first is when i tried debootstraping hardy... i got the same results... i mostly followed these instructions http://www.mythic-beasts.com/resources/appletv/walk-through.html but since im running a 64bit OS i booted another pc with kubuntu 8.04 32bit in livecd mode & ran this command... :/mnt/tv$ ssh root@192.168.1.211 "cd /copy && tar cfz - . " | sudo tar xfpBz -

Following closely behind the Android simple install earlier this month, users over at Internet Tablet Talk have setup an easy way to install Debian Linux - the full desktop - on the Nokia Internet Tablet. Not to miss out on the fun, I decided to give the Debian a go on my Nokia N810.
To note, you'll need about 1.3GB of free memory on either the internal memory or a removable memory card. After the installation, you'll still have 1GB free, but you need to have it all free for the installation process. What is custom nimbleX
Do-it-yourself distributions have made great strides
since Linux from Scratch, or even rPath's rBuilder
Online. In the last few months, users have even
been able to produce custom disk images with such
tools as Fedora's Revisor and Ubuntu's Reconstructor.
However, one of the most elegant tools to emerge
recently is Custom NimbleX, a online program that
allows you to construct an ISO image in your browser
and then download it. Custom NimbleX lacks some
things, but is so simply and well-designed.
Visitors to the Custom NimbleX URL are met with a
minimalist window in the middle of a page,
surrounded by ads. A bar graph at the top of the
page shows 200MB the image takes up for the basic
operating system. You can begin customizing from here.
If you make a mistake or change your mind, you
can use the Back button to retrace your steps right
up to the time you actually produce your ISO image.
On the first screen past the Welcome, you choose the
level of customization. If you simply want an image
of NimbleX, you can choose Minimal (which refers
to the amount of customization, not the size of the
image). However, as the instructions in the window
point out, that "is probably not the reason you came
here." Instead, most users will probably want to
choose the Custom install, which provides no guides
about what to install, or Recommended, which includes
suggested defaults.
